Here we are..................7 days and we are outta here! We were getting really concerned about who was going to drive our car, as of yesterday we didn’t have anyone that could do it, but Howie came to our rescue. He is a good friend of ours and he is trying to get his passport done in time to leave, we have our fingers crossed.
Almost everything is packed and in the trailer, everything has to be out on Saturday so we can clean the house on Sunday for the renters. The only things we have left for people to take is a couch and chair, a yucky coffee table, a yucky computer chair and a few bits and pieces of glasses, coffee mugs, etc., along with some staples from the kitchen.
I stopped by Nabors Drilling yesterday and it was so good to see everyone! If I wasn’t leaving I still would work there, if, of course, they would still have me.
Just found out the Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died today. Wow, today is not a good day for someone to be famous.........
Our good friend Paul has come to clean out our freezer, Ashleigh, (Ross’s daughter), is coming to get the TV and Wes (another very good friend) is coming to drop off some DVD’s that he did for us and pick up the spare bed and mattress. Pretty soon we will be able to yodel in our house, it is so empty.
We are going to Ross’s band’s (well not anymore) rehearse tonight, it’s Ross’s birthday meeting tomorrow night (we are going out for dinner with Ross’s sponsor) and then off to the meeting, along with Tara (Ross’s other daughter) and Barbara, his Mum. Then Saturday is free, except for having the clean out the house, Sunday is cleaning day, Monday is free, Tuesday we are off to Lynn and Angie’s for an ABPAS party to say adios. Wednesday we are having a family KFC picnic at Pamela’s house (Ross’s sister Pam will be there from France) and the next day is travel day to Lethbridge.
That’s it for now!

Wow that was close
June 16th, 2009
We rented our house today to a young couple with 2 children. They have signed a 1 year lease and will be over tomorrow with the damage deposit. Yeah! We are actually moving the first week of July. So we are well and truly out of here, sad as it may be, but what an experience. We want everyone to come visit!
We are going over to Ross's Mum's house to visit tomorrow and then off to supper with my two sisters. It's Bev's birthday on Thursday, she is turning 60, wow! What a feat...........we are truly blessed that we still have the three of us alive and very well!
We still have our bedroom suite to sell (hint hint anyone???) and everything else is accounted for. Our friend Paul is taking the dinning room suite, Lexi gets the stool in the front entrance, Yvonne is taking the couch and chair upstairs. The only thing left are 2 really old and crappy coffee tables!
I'm trying to get everyone together for Father's day, Ross wants to jam at Orlando's before we go to eat....................we'll see..................it is fathers day after all!
We have tickets to see Burton Cummings next Tuesday and then on the 29th Ross's sister Pam is flying in from France to see everyone! We will probably be living in the motor home at that point as we will have the house spit and polished (thanks to our good friend Laurie) for the new renters.
Well need to go, Law and Order SVU is on and I think it's a new one.
Will update again later.
Create a Great Day!

I think we are almost ready
June 15, 2009
Well, I think we are really close to leaving. We are trying to have everything packed up by next Friday so we can get the house clean for the renters on the weekend and it will be a lot better if we are aren't in the house. I think we will be living in the RV for a couple of days just to make sure we don't mess the house up. Ross has now changed the tweeter and what ever in the Frasiers (speakers he will not give up) and they are now in the trailer, we are running out of room! We have the girls coming over to pick and choose the food we have left and anything else we have in our cupboards we don't need, or more to the point, don't want to bring with us. We are putting our bedroom suite on Kijiji tomorrow along with more stuff we don't have room for. We are so excited and scared at the same time. The cats are going in for their medical next Tuesday and the dogs are next Wednesday. we still have a few things to take care of before the BIG move. Ross has been sober for 3 years now (June 19th) and we are having his birthday at Beaumont on the 26th (the last Friday of every month are saved for open meetings for birthdays) if you are interested in coming and joining the celebration, please call me and I will tell you where it is. I am so grateful for AA and what it has given Ross and in turn has given me, that I can't thank them enough! It has changed our life completely! On an up note, I have planned our trip to Mexico, we are going fairly straight down, hoping to stop in Vegas a couple of days. We are looking forward to doing July 4th in the states, I remember how wonderful it is, it doesn't compare to Canada Day! The fireworks are fabulous! We are looking forward to seeing our friends when they come visit! Hint, hint........... I'll post another blog once we are on the road!

We are almost ready to go!
June 09, 2009
Hello everyone!
Well this is it; we are moving to Bucerias at the end of the month, we finally got all of our documentation, hopefully to be there by the third week of July.
We went to Banff last weekend for a family camping weekend, it went well even though it snowed and was quite cold. Lexi and her friend Madi tried to sleep in a tent, but ended up freezing so they came into the RV with us. Pamela stayed in her tent with Poco and wasn’t cold, go figure. Tara and Evan stayed in a motel (woosies) while Ross and I were nice and warm in our bed in Betsy (our RV). With 7 people in Betsy we sure made a mess, most of the weekend you couldn’t see our kitchen counter! But what fun! We so missed Ashleigh and Maddy on the weekend, but Ash had to work. We are hoping to be able to see her when she goes to Vernon at the end of the month for Soccer, we would like to be able to meet her there and bring her home before we take off.
There is so much to do yet before we leave, it seems like we have been preparing for this forever and it’s finally here, and I don’t know where to start. We have a list of all the stuff that needs to be done and it seems to be growing, rather than decreasing. There isn’t much left in the house, except for our dining room table (which a friend is buying), our bedroom suite and living room furniture (which are for sale), and a bit of bedding, kitchen necessities, and clothing. Ross has finally, almost, gotten the garage cleaned out except for what we are leaving for the renters.
I think that's all I have for right now. Talk to you all soon!
