¡Felices Pascuas
We woke up in Paradise as per usual; Yvonne spent some time on the roof in the morning to do a bit of tanning, we have to have some suntan when we get back!
Yvonne and I took a trip to Bucerias Centro to the market, sooooooooo busy, I bought a very light dress for rainy season and Yvonne bought some earrings, we didn’t stay long as we were dripping with sweat! The beach was packed with nationals, a good day to stay away from the beach. We bumped into the waiter that was going to take Yvonne dancing that night at The Twisted Rose and he looked like he was on the wrong end of a fist. He had a bandage on his right eyebrow and I’m sure a really good shiner, he was wearing sunglasses.
We drove home and met up with Dick and Mary Carmen at Ernesto’s (a really good restaurant in Jarretaderas) for a wonder dinner. On the way into the barrio there was a big pile of rocks and dirt obstructing our drive to the restaurant. Ross made his way through it (with a lot of damage to his car) and found out they put it there to stop people driving on the brand new pavement they poured. We turned around drove through the narrow opening and parked on the side of the street and walked in.
We woke up Easter Sunday morning and were enjoying some down time and we got a call we just got a call from Ashleigh letting us know that Evan has been electrocuted in his home this morning, we think around 5am and he was airlifted to the U of A and is in ICU right now unconscious. (It’s 2:30 pm right now)
We went to El Gordo for lunch then left Ross by the phone and Yvonne and I drove to Puente de Mita, a small coastal town just a little drive. I parked for a bit so we could walk to stretch our legs.
We got home after 4 and we watched Corrie Street and had spaghetti and garlic toast for supper, with real parmesan cheese from the deli.
Happy Birthday to Ross
We woke up to good news, Evan was off the respirator and awake. I’m sure he has a long way to go, but at least the recovery has started.
I did the same thing to Ross in regards to birthday presents; he got cheese whiz, peaches, chocolate cookies, and some Bubu Lubu, (chocolate, marshmallow and jam treat) and some hot rods.
We drove to the surfer town of Sayulita for a lunch of great totopos (Nacho chips) and guacamole, Yvonne had an enchilada and I had a burrito chico (small burrito) and we noshed on Ross’s guacamole also. We walked down to the ocean, I put my feet in………………..it’s cold!!!!!!!! We stopped in a couple of shops but didn’t find anything that jumped out at us.
We got home just in time………………I forgot a very important event today. Bad me!!! Yvonne and I hooked up my little pink LG computer to my small TV in my office and I can use it as a desktop computer. Hurray…it was like seeing a child I hadn’t seen for a very long time!
Sorry about that, we got home, I watered the plants in front and cleaned my feet (the sand and salt from Sayulita) and we got Betsy filled up with water (she was out) and Ross watered the back plants. Yvonne had a short snooze; we left shortly before 7 to meet up with Dick, Mary Carmen and Harold for dinner at the Sirloin Stockade in The Galleria Mall. Harold won………………….Ross had eaten too many totopos!
We are now watching TV and doing a bit of surfing (computer that is) and it will be bedtime soon as we have to work tomorrow. Yvonne is coming with us to putz around.
