Tuesday and Wednesday April 6th & 7th 2010

Yvonne and I got to the office shortly after 9, we were waiting on Ross (tummy upset) and decided he needed to stay home and we would drive to the office. A punch buggy was parked outside of the office, John and Christie spent money for the curb to be painted so no one could park there, which I find out later it is for sale for 59,000 pesos. A client bought a house and the car came with it. The TV finally showed up also, with listings scrolling on it so that was new too! Yvonne sat and read the real estate listings, I tried to get the internet to work, but no, but I kinda expected that anyway. The foot traffic outside the office has died down to almost nothing now, so it is very boring sitting there, but the punch buggy roadster really stopped traffic. Ross called to let me know the RV guy from Red Deer was at the house to take pictures and then he came by the office to drop off some stuff I had forgotten to bring (maps and calendars with our business card on it). Yvonne took off for a walk then had a cappuccino at the bakery across the street!

Before we got home we stopped off at El Gordo for a lunch. We went to Philo’s for ribs and to see Tom’s band one more time (we never did order the ribs, but supper was not up to par) then after a set we left and drove to Britannia to do a bit of jamming with them. There was a violin player that touched your soul, it was sublime, indescribable. Nick on guitar, Mike on bass, Russ on harmonica and we have no idea who played the violin, and of course Ross on drums.

We didn’t stay long at Britannia either, we got home about 11:30 and we had to wait up until Tom came by to drop off the drums they borrowed from us (it was around 1).
Wednesday is the day we go to the market and Mismaloya. We stopped off at the post office to mail Cami’s birthday card then to the Pharmacia to get some pepto bismol for Ross’s tummy, then went to Pepe’s tacos in Vallarta for lunch. Delicious!!! We drove to the market and Ross paid for another car wash (the last one he paid for, the guy never did wash his car) and we went shopping. Yvonne bought 3 pairs of earrings and I bought a top in anticipation (we are actually getting the weather now) for the summer heat. We had a great drive to Mismaloya, we saw the huge houses on the mountain then drove farther south down the 200 what a wonderful drive, we actually saw some spruce trees too, other than the Norfolk pines we see all over the place (30 feet high some of them!)

Once home Yvonne asked us if there was any restaurant we haven’t gone to yet that we wanted to…..we picked Karen’s Place. Well let me tell you the food was fabulous, yes Ross, fabulous! Karen’s Place is a restaurant right on the beach road in the hotel called Costa Dorado (gold coast) and the ambience was delightful. A five star restaurant with three star pricing, according to Yvonne. Ross had the Mahi Mahi (the best he has ever had but the sauce at Riveria was better, Yvonne had the chicken, which according to her again was divine, a bit too much ricotta cheese, but the spinach was herbed perfectly to match the chicken (oh my god)!!! You get the drift. I had a vegetarian spaghetti with tomatoes, fresh basil, parmesan cheese and black olives, fantastico.

We are now sitting stuffed watching demolition derby, only because we are too stuffed and too tired to change the channel.

Ross, Yvonne, Kim and Critters in Paradise!!!
