Monday December 21st, 2009

Today is the day I have had planned for two weeks of going out shopping to find a mother’s of the bride dress, and then my husband decided he wanted to come with me! He hates shopping for girly stuff, we needed to pick up some stucco and contact cement for handyman to fix some of our outside walls and the lino in the bathroom in Betsy and he thought today would be a good day to do this. Yack! I tried to talk him out of it but he still came. We stopped off first at the post office as we got a registered mail notice and picked up the mail Pamela sent me, then stopped at Beto’s for some wine then off to PV. Ross dropped me off at the Galleria Mall and we were to meet up at 1, he went to Sam’s Club then to Costco. I looked for dresses and just can’t seem to find something I like! It’s really frustrating, I am going to have to go someone else, Sue, my friend, said she knows of a couple of places, we’ll have to go looking.

We woke up this morning; again, to a dripping shower faucet so I called Norberto, he was to come at 7 to see what is up. The orphanage grand opening was today, so I walked over and had a great taco and a coke and met up with Sue and Harold, Larry and Lorena and Dick and Mary Carmen among others and has a nice chat. Ross has gone to his meeting and is meeting up with Bob, his new sponsor, for a coffee and a chat so he didn’t come to the opening. I got home at 6:30, Sue and Harold drove behind me so I wouldn’t get lost or accosted (we live across the street and down about 3 houses from the orphanage) and commented on our Christmas lights. Oh by the way, I got an e-mail the other day from Sue asking if we found what they dropped off to us yet, it was on top of the lawn chairs we had out front. We looked and we got our very first tacky Mexican Christmas card!

Norberto came and got our showers working, he turned on the hot water tap in the kitchen, then in both bathrooms and the shower started working, he was telling me that we had to flush out the air in the line, that happens when our tinaco runs low on water then the street water starts filling it up. So we’ll try that the next time, it’ll be nice to have enough water to wash in tomorrow. Well. I’m watching a great Christmas movie, Borrowed Hearts, on the women’s channel, so I’ll say adios for now and we’ll talk to you tomorrow.
Ross at his meeting, Kim watching Christmas movie, Yoda sleeping on the couch beside me and the other critters in other parts of our house in Paradise!
