Monday November 29th to Monday December 6th, 2010

We were invited over to Geno and Alvia’s for dinner Tuesday night, wow, we had a salad then chicken cacciatore, to die for!!! They live in San Poncho right on the mail street about 3 blocks from the ocean, the front of the house is their real estate business and paper store and the back is their living space. The bedroom is inside but the kitchen, dining room and living room are outside under a palapa! They have a very large back yard that so far is empty; I think I heard Geno say they will put in a dipping pool sometime in the future!

We first went down to the beach to watch the marvelous sunset; I got my feet wet, cooooold ocean! We met up with Geno and a friend at the beach bar then went back to Geno’s. Ralph was supposed to come too but he was too sick, Ross took off to Lo de Marcos and dropped off some medicine we brought for him, then got back just as supper was ready. All in all…………….a great day!

Just before we went to San Poncho I finally got my nails done, and most importantly got the one fixed that broke in the fall. I also made an appointment to finally get my hair cut at Gina’s salon in Vallarta on Wednesday! I got at least 3” cut off and I feel so much better, unfortunately it is a little too short for all my hair to be caught in an elastic band for the convertible, will have to wear a hat until it grows a bit.

Saturday was our amigos meeting and then…………………..after that…………………….I got my stitches out, help!! Everybody says, it doesn’t hurt, everything will be fine, but if the wound hurts still to touch, why should taking the stitches out NOT hurt??? I’ll tell you why, it was infected!!! All 4 of the stitches coming out felt like she was cutting my skin……………ouch!!! I now have (I think) all the infection out now it just needs to heal, I have it covered in the daytime (for dust and stuff) and at night I have it uncovered so the air can get at it. I think Shadow (our very large Cdn black cat) feels sorry for me because he slept on my head all last night that normally doesn’t happen, I normally have Baby Girl there!

At 4 we went to the chili cook-off at Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta, Ronnie and Tony, our friends here in Bucerias are involved with this chili cook-off also, so it was good to see them again. We also saw Tom (bass player) and Harold and Sue came out to join in. As we were supposed to go to dinner later, I didn’t have much chili, but I found out later that Ross didn’t want to go to dinner and was expecting to have chili for dinner………………..boy did we get our wires crossed!!!

We finally picked up our new working FM3’s on Friday before we went in to PV, we are now legal to work here, but I noticed the renewal date is our old date in July. Now we love the July renewal because no one is here and the immigration office isn‘t as busy, but I can’t understand why we paid all that money for only 6 months!!! What I want to know how much it is going to cost at renewal!!! When we went into PV we stopped off at Autozone to pick up a trailer hitch extension so that we can tow our new trailer here so Ross can put his stuff in it so………………………….I and paint the room and then move my stuff into the room so I can use the small room for company!
Last Monday we had a real estate meeting and as we now are legal to sell we now can work the office……………we got the afternoon shift on Tuesdays!!! But already I can’t make it for the whole time tomorrow as Renee is coming back so I am going to pick her up from the airport at 2:45; I will hook up with Ross at the office after I drop her off at her house.

Last Wednesday Juan-Ted and the AMAZING Rhythm Roosters started a new gig in Guayabitos on the beach in a bar called Mateja's. They are playing every other Wednesday and if the first gig is any indication on how the other ones will be…………………..it will be great. They start at 3pm Nayarit time and at 9pm (our time) Ross called me and said they were still playing!!! They played, I think, 2 extra sets and they got at least one private party out of that, hurray!!! Caching!!! Money, Money, Moneyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Unfortunately their Nelly’s gig has come to a close; she has decided that the community is too small for one band to play twice a week, even if they are only playing one gig every other week! That is sad because we really love Natalie!

Ross Kim and Critters in Paradise

ps…..you know that we have a couple of feral cats that come into our yard at night to eat………well one of the cats will actually let me pet her now and she has been protecting our house from another feral cat!!!
