Saturday July 25th, 2009

Well it is another day in paradise. Hurray, we got the trailer in our yard, after 4 garbage truck guys helping us and tipping them 100.00 pesos (10.00) for helping get the trailer off Betsy and another 4 guys 100.00 pesos and 1 case of beer we got the trailer in the yard! Now, this is a 20’ trailer 8 ½’ wide going through a 9’ wide opening with about 1 ton in toung weight traveling on Dicks’s (a guy that lives close to us) ½ ton pickup trunk. It probably took them 3 hours to get the trailer off Betsy, onto the pickup truck (which broke a lot of bricks that we put underneath the hitch because it weights so much) and into our yard so we could close our gates. Yeah! That was a feat in itself!..

We went in to Puerto Vallarta to the Soriana mall to pick up some groceries (wine) and picked up a swimming pool the for the dogs, 2 army knives for Ross (he lost his, but found it later this afternoon on the car seat) and a bit of stuff we needed and got back around 4. Ross took off to Mega to find some other stuff we needed and came back with way too much.

We had BBQ hotdogs tonight with a salad and a fruit salad with watermelon and cantaloupe. John and Christie came over and had some fruit salad and Christie and I had some wine, John doesn’t drink. We chatted for a while and told a few stories and they left about an hour ago.

There is a Mexican party (going on down the street a birthday we think, cause they had balloons on their casa) we really can’t hear them unless we go outside which right now we are not (I am sitting in the kitchen cause the lights outside are not bright enough to type and actually look to see if I am typing the right stuff. I have had a bit of wine so don’t blame me if you are getting a bit lost with the story.)

We are going to a bar on the ocean that will open for Ross and me to watch the Indy race tomorrow. They are not normally open on Sundays but he will open for us to watch the race. Just wait until he finds out that Ross does not drink and I will only probably have 1 glass of wine! Christie and John might show up but probably not.

We are enjoying the lighting in the sky and the fireflies across the street from us, we can hear jungle noises all night with the crickets and the bugs. We can only hear the roosters when we are awake, thank god!
