Wow...............here we sit at a Pemex Gas Station (gov’t owned, not any more choices) that is supposed to have showers. It is 7:50 (I think) we are confused as to which state is on daylight savings time. The state right across the border is Senora state, the state we are in right now is Sinoloa and we are on Mtn standard time. The next state is Nayarit (which is ours) We started out this morning in the city of Hermosillo, went through Ciudad Obregon, Los Mochis (we looked for a motel here, we have given up on the RV parks, all they are is a big lot with power, but they don’t look very secure) but we couldn’t find anything, so, as per what we do............we carried on. By the way we have not seen one gun guy anywhere! Once we arrived in Sinoloa state the roads were much better so Ross could actually breathe and drive (the roads had good pavement (most of the time) but very narrow with no shoulders in the other state. We tried to get to Culiacan but as the sun set, we decided that the gas station would be a great place to dry dock!

We are about 70 kms from Culiacan, will go through Mazatlan, Tuxpan, Tepic, then home. We could probably drive to our house tomorrow, but we don’t want to get there in the dark, so I think we might stay at Tepic and then drive to home the next day.

I am so excited to see my house and my furniture (we haven’t seen it yet, stained and stuff)

Well I know that we will not post this for a bit so I will bid you all adieu until we meet again. Just to let you know that not only are the roads better in this state the foliage is much greener (as we are soooooo close to the ocean, but haven’t seen it yet!) It is a lot more humid tonight than it was last night, we found out that the high for Hermosillo was to be 112F. We have seen a lot of standing water because, I assume, from the rains (we are in the rainy season) but it has been dry for driving. I guess we will see what happens tomorrow. It is, as they say, another day!
