Today has been a glorious day. We made it to the Grand Canyon today, another one of Ross’s bucket list places. Unfortunately I have already been, but we passed the Flintstone Park! When Pam was 3 and Stacy was 6 we went to this park and had a grand time. I had forgotten where it was, I have pictures of the kids on the rides and stuff now I know where it was! Wow! Stacy and Pam you need to take the grandchildren here so they have been in the same place as you have been. I took pictures of the park, I’m sure at least Stacy remembers!

We also went on a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, wow, what a “wow” experience. Neither Ross or I can come up with a better word.......”Wow” says it all! We spent 40 minutes over the vast expanse of the Grand Canyon! It is still a wow.

We stopped at Williams, Arizona (2 miles away from our KOA campground) so we could pick up some more water and a few other things and found a fabulous little pub on Route 66 with a single guitar player that sang songs of our youth! He wasn’t great but a fun guy, Ross played tambourine and the maracas, and pounded on his guitar case for drums. Ross suggested he pull out his v drums and play with him tomorrow night, but alas, no, we need to get going! Ross gave him our cards to come visit. They could play a few tunes!

Our next stop is to be Phoenix, but it’s supposed to be super hot there, and I phoned to cancel our reservation at the KOA there but they need 48 hours for cancellation, so we decided that we really don’t want to subject us, the animals and our RV and car to that kind of heat (112 F in the shade) so we will decide whether or not we will stay there or not, we might just keep driving to stay out of the record setting heat! The next big city is Tucson (Heart attack grill restaurant) and after that is Nogales Mexico. We really don’t know what we will do, so I will let you know that if we don’t stop at the KOA in Phoenix

we don’t know where we will have internet again so don’t be concerned if you don’t hear from us for a while. Mexico is our next stop and we have no plans to stop anywhere there except for our house in Bucerias, where we don’t have a phone line, let alone an internet connection. So let’s just say don’t be concerned if you don’t hear from us for a while.

Will let you all know if we stop at an internet cafe or get a campground with internet.

PEACE love and hugs (We think of Freemont Street still)

Ross and Kim
