Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! It is 9:30 pm and I have my first wash in my new washing machine. It takes so long to fill (low water pressure) it might be done by morning, I have my fingers crossed. I still don’t have my dryer hooked up (gas) so Ross (he loves me dearly) bought me a line to hang my washing on along with clothes pins I picked up a few days ago. Only I know (besides you) that he will probably hang the wet clothes tomorrow! Just because. All the cycles are of course in Spanish so I needed to go onto a Spanish to English dictionary on the internet to see why my washing machine wasn’t doing what I wanted to do. I found out that wash (now I can’t find my list of words) so just believe me that I need the last 3 lights on to get a wash cycle done.
Wow it is very humid. We woke up to a killer thunderstorm (Ross is in his glory) at 6 this morning and probably watched thousands of lightning strikes and thunder boomers in about an hour. It calmed down enough so we went back to bed and woke up, do you believe this????? At noon. We are starting to become night owls as it is cooler in the evening, so we feel a little more like doing something.
We went to a bar along the main beach road (I have no idea what the name is) they do a lot of sports on the TV and almost all the walls, chairs and anything else you can write on are covered with people’s names and where they are from. Most are from Canada, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Saskatchewan, Ontario BC, it is kinda cool, I wrote Ross and my name on the wall and then on the leg of a chair. We watched the Edmonton Indy, Go Edmonton, I had 2 margaritas, Ross had water, nacho chips with very hot salsa and taco’s, god they have good tacos here. We got very familiar with the owners, now they what us to come back tomorrow, we told them probably not as we have some unpacking to do. I saw a couple of iguana’s on some vines across the street, I said hi, they looked at me and had a question mark above their heads, (what the hell are you talking about?????). In the yard where the Iguana’s were there was a monkey in a large cage, too cool, but I hope the monkey is looked after ok.... I have to believe so!
After watching the race we walked up the road to the beach, and for the first time since we got here I got my feet wet. Wow, the water is soooooooooooo warm! We have now found our beach access so hopefully in the next few days we will be able to find the time and energy to spend a few hours on the beach (the humidity is sooooo high that your oomf level is way down, you just don’t want to move much!
We drove over to John and Christie’s to use their internet, we just sat outside their house as we didn’t want to bother their Sunday, and we did our internet stuff. Ross has the e-mail address for the star choice guy (apparently he is in Canada or the US picking up parts) so he can put our dish up so we have, wait for it, TV! Yeah!
I took a couple of boxes out of our trailer tonight, not much but it was a slow start. We would like to get it unpacked by Wednesday as Yuan, our furniture guy, will be coming over to bring me my new buffet and dresser and we might be selling him the trailer. He is definitely interested, 5,000 US (a little more that we paid for it) in cash and kind (Ross is hoping for his seadoo he wants to trade us).
I think that is all for tonight, I am going to go out and join Ross on the patio to watch and listen to the wonderful wildlife Bucerias has to offer,
Talk to you soon!
Ross and Kim
