Happy Birthday to my son! 38 years young in another year I’m going to have to be 49 because right now I tell everyone I’m 39, but I can’t be the same age as my son! Can I?

We had a great day yesterday, weather was, of course, perfect (well it could have been a little less humid, but heck, we are in paradise). Sue, Harold, Steve, Leanne and I had a great BBQ but unfortunately we had to cut it short. Ross got a call from his friend Ralph asking him to fill in for his band (Rock of Ages) because their drummer couldn’t make it. Ross told him no because we have friends coming over, and Ross suggested he get Carlos, Philo’s drummer. He called back to say he couldn’t contact him or he couldn’t make it (I don’t know which) and they will do songs without a drummer until Ross gets there. So we did the Margarita machine (I broke the glass container today washing it so I’ll have to get a new one), and they were wonderful, as per usual, then as I said we had steak, Dave potatoes and church corn (from Sue, you have to ask her for the recipe).

After supper we put Ross’s other drums in Harold and Sue’s truck and the rest in ours and drove to La Cruz to the Ana Banana Club. We hadn’t been there so it was definitely different from Philos and Britannia, a lot smaller bar but cozy. We in Mexico are celebrating the Day of the Dead. It is a two day event where all the people you know that have passed on are being celebrated. There are parties and such, which is why Ross played last night. It was really neat too, people, in their homes put up a shrine with candles and pictures of the dead people, at the bar they have the ashes of those past in Crown Royal bags hanging from the ceiling over their bar stools. It sounds quite bazaar but the speech the owner of the bar gave was celebrating their lives.

We met John and Christie with the rest of the group at The Flamingos to meet with Cheryl and Paul at their house to start learning all about real estate. Their house is beautiful; it’s on the golf course with only 14 other houses with a pool out their back door. We stayed there for a couple of hours then drove home to get comfy until Ross’s meeting at 6. Stacy called just after Ross left and when Jordan called Stacy I got off the phone with him, only to get a voice mail from Pam. I called her back and we talked all about the wedding plans, when I was finished with that conversation I called Stacy back and we talked for another half hour or so.

Ross got home and brought some chip dip so we had chips and chip dip for supper then we opened up some cookies. Not very nutritious but nummy.

I’m gonna say bye for now but I am going to post some pictures of our new puppy Maggie with Big dog and Gracie and a picture of Leon for Halloween.

Ross and Kim in Paradise!
