Saturday October 31st, 2009

Really it’s still Friday but its 8:51pm we went to Ross’s meeting and then went to Paradise Village in Nuevo for the birthday supper of BBQ hotdogs and hamburgers. That place is fabulous, the ship slips (that sounds cool heh!) have some awesome power and sail boats and the condos are top notch. The people that were in charge of the birthday meetings (the last Friday of the month) reserved the palapa there with BBQ and tables and of course a pool. We had BBQ hotdogs and hamburgers and some really good potato chips from Costco.

We woke up this morning…………….to………………..guess what………………? Paradise! It has definitely cooled off, it’s only 28 and the humidity is about 60, practically winter (what do you think….not!) there was a slight wind also with blue skies. It is tough living in Mexico. We had coffee (of course on our patio) then puttered around,

I am trying to get Windows 7 on the new computer but I found Windows 7 for 3 computers for $150.00. All I need is someone from the States coming down so I can get it delivered (UPS in 3 days, but they only deliver to US) and just as it happens some friends of ours (Harold and Sue) some friends are coming down from Washington in a couple of weeks so she is going to give me there address and I will have it delivered there and they can bring it down. Every time I try to go to get the windows 7 update for my new computer (I’m supposed to get it free) the computer freezes! Are you surprised???????? NOT! So I figure I have 3 computers with Vista on them and since Windows 7 is the next step getting 3 computers on it for 150.00 it’s not bad. My little pink computer that I keep working on, has XP on it and I love it. My Sony books won’t work on Vista, go figure and neither will my photo scanner.

I am scanning all my old photos (black and white from the ‘70’s to the time I started with a digital camera) onto the computer so I can give my kids all their baby photos plus) and I can still have a copy also. It will take me forever but I have 4 really nice photo albums, one for each child, to put in the oldest pictures and then I will give them the rest for them to have (yeah!, I’ll get ½ of my book shelf back again for books).

We went out with our scooters this afternoon, it is still really heavy for me and I was having problems controlling it, but after a bit I was talking to myself (I do that often) letting me know that I’m not a wus (sp) and I can do this!!!!!!! I actually started to be ok with it when I was parking it in the front of our house. I am going to take the damn thing out every day until I master the thing; nothing gets the better of me!!!

We had dinner with the gang at Claudio’s Meson Bay, the same place that Tara took us when she was here and it was great. The food is great, I had the red Enchilada’s and Ross had the fish……terrific food, thanks Tara. No one came to our house for Halloween, we should had brought our candy to supper because some of the kids go to the restaurants. Harold and Sue brought candy and they kids came and got some, we will have to bring it next year so we can get rid of ours. Mary Carmen and Dick put a not on their door to let everyone know to come later for treats, but Mary Carmen speaks Spanish so they will be able to read her sign……not ours if we had one.

We drove Renee to Philo’s with us and spent a great night listening to good music (of course Ross got to play a bit) and watching costumed people have a good time. I was thinking I should have worn my pink cowboy hat or something different, watch out next year!.

We are watching TV now and I’m of course doing my blog (it’s 12:50am) (what I do for my fans!).

I would love to wish all of you a scary Halloween and please pray for Sue, Harold and Me, Steve and Leanne (from Sherwood Park that we met tonight (Harold and Sue’s friends that I think will be our friends too)) coming over to have a BBQ tomorrow and some Margareta’s from my “Margareta Machine” that they have heard so much about.

Ross and Kim in Paradise!
