Week of November 22nd
(I am only going to post once a week, we are slowing down)

Temp 30/19 Humidity 58%/ Feels like 37 A few clouds

Monday - We actually got up before noon; actually it was around 10 that we woke up, hurray! Another beautiful day to drink coffee outside, I actually took one whole scoop out of the coffee machine before I started it, Ross makes way toooooo strong a coffee for me.

We got a lot done today, putzy stuff, Ross emptied Betsy’s holding tanks, and looked in the basement of Betsy and found a whole bunch of stuff he forgot he had. From now on he has to look in Betsy before he buys anything anymore! He went over to Oscar’s studio (We found out that Nick is taking it over for himself and his family) to pick up his new drums and is hoping to move everything over there once Nick moves in so we can actually have a guest bedroom! I’m not quite sure how he is going to inventory everything, but he’ll work on that when the time comes, I hope.

I found Pepper (I’ll try to get a picture of him) in my office this morning (he was hiding because he is scared of the dogs), we cuddled and he had some breakfast and went poop in the kitty litter, hurray! He is sleeping back in my office again, I thought for sure he had run off last night and I was trying to find a way to tell Carol that I had lost him.

Brett called to let us know that he had picked up a few things that Ross needed and I guess to touch base. He will be here on Thursday for a week, we are excited he is coming then as he can come to Guayabitos with us for American Thanksgiving and to hear Ross’s band play, they are great!

I did some computer stuff today, nothing exciting, I listened to ched for a while, along with 104.9. I’m looking forward to listening to 104.9 in December because they play all Christmas music. I am putting all my recipes onto an excel spreadsheet and am trying to copy it to a cd so I can keep adding to it, but it is only coping as a read only, I have an email to my son to find out why. I want to do this with my journal also; my son is in North Carolina right now so hopefully I will find out how a little later this week.

I made (that’s right I cooked…well not really) poached eggs on toast for supper tonight, now Ross has gone to his meeting and I’m writing my blog, after I’m done here I’m going to carry on with my recipes. Extreme Home makeover is on so I’m catching that too!

Tuesday – We woke up early today because it’s our day to man the office. What a beautiful day today, I can’t see a cloud in site. We left at 9 and got to the office, wow there are a lot of people walking around now, the De Cameron people are emerging. After a bit I took a walk, I talked to my nail lady, she told me of a book signing at Sandrina’s, I can’t remember the date, she is going to e-mail me the info.

I continued on to the Mini Super on the corner, wow, it’s really big, and it has my wine, not in the big bottles but the same bottles as Superstore Liquor store! I turned around as my foot (ankle) was killing me, more than my sore but sitting most of the morning. It seems to be getting worse; the bruise is now in the inside of my foot now too. I looked on the internet last night and found out the I had torn my ligaments (I thought the doctor said tendons) and I wasn’t suppose to walk on my foot at all, no wonder after almost a week it was getting worse, so after our office duty we stopped at the market and I got a walking stick.. It’s kinda cool the handle looks like a dolphin (kinda sorta) with a yellow ball in his mouth, I think it’s made of bamboo and we had to cut it down a bit cause it was way too long for me, it has a rubber tip on it too so it won’t slip. I have only used it for a few hours and my foot already feels better, go figure. I feel like a dork, but if it works, I don’t care.

We got an email from the group letting us know that Korsario's have changed their menu they now have

Wednesday - We got up quite early for us (10am) and were ready by noon to leave. We drove to PV to pick up Tigger from the vet (I’m afraid in a box just like Big Dog) and then drove to Costco to pick up a few odds and ends. Isn’t it awful……every time we go there we spend way too much money! It was kinda neat though, since my ankle is pretty sore I drove one of the old lady carts around the store, I think in the future, I’ll wrap my foot up just so I can get one of those, boy are they fun, they turn on a dime and I can shop forever on one of those things. We met Kim and a friend of hers in Costco (Kim is a friend that lives on her sailboat with her husband in Paradise Village (what a life!)) and her friend is staying a few boats down from Kim and will stay until January, then they are going farther south.

I want to let you know that there were 3 ships in the PV harbor, Oosterdam, Radiance of the Seas and Carnival Splendor (OK so I knew I wouldn’t remember them so I wrote them down (since it’s Friday nite I think I’m doing good remembering where I wrote them down)) We got to Britannia about 4ish and had a great time, not much of a crowd but the locals had a great time!

Thursday – OK…..Maggie needs to get to the vet to be spayed….we needed to get here there by 10:15, we were told that the vet opened at 10 but don’t get there by 10 cause she won’t be open yet (we love Mexico). Ross (because I still can’t drive) drove her to Dr. Marianna (200 pesos for peace to spay a dog!!) and was told to pick her up at 7pm. Now, we were going to be having Turkey dinner at Crazy Nelly’s and had to be there by 6 so Sue and Harold volunteered to pick her up and keep her overnight, and we would pick her up in the afternoon (I was going to say morning, but we don’t do mornings unless we have to…) Ross went to Home Depot and picked up a hose reel before he went to pick up Brett, then after getting Brett from the airport, they went to see how Maggie was. You are not going to believe this…………………Maggie had already been spayed! It is not uncommon that Mexican families adopt a dog, find out that they can’t afford to feed them and let them go. This family, did all the right things though, they got her spayed if nothing else. So it was a surprise to Dr. Marianna when she opened Maggie up, there was nothing there!!!! So she sutured her up, gave her her shots and vitamins and cleaned her ticks up, found out she had worms (we need to bring her back in 2 weeks) and sent her home with Ross.

Hurray, Lily is here……………it is surprising how you so look forward to someone cleaning you house for you! Since my ankle has been wrapped up, it’s surprising how the house gets yucky! It’s got nothing to do with Ross not keeping up, but with 3 dogs and 3 cats……….we need two of us to keep up. Yeah, Lily got here around 12:30 and Ross, thank goodness before Lily got here, (Close your ears….was in his undies) when he went online to find out that Brett’s (his good friend) plane was early and landing in 10 minutes, ooooops, guess we better get dressed to pick him up.

I had so much planned to do while Ross was gone, but by the time Brett and Ross got back I hadn’t gotten anything done I wanted to do. I am trying to get all my recipes on the computer to burn to a disk for the kids and I also have a photo scanning device and I’m trying to get 30 years of photos onto my computer so I can give the kids the original pictures and I can free up a whole shit load of space for other things, like books and stuff! By the time I putzed around with laundry and trying to get my HP computer ready to loan out to Ralph (his is pooched and needs parts) the afternoon just went away. I had downloaded Windows 7 onto this computer and I guess I hadn’t shut it down enough as they were a lot of updates for it to do before it was ready to loan out. I also added “guest” onto my desktop so my files would not be deleted or messed with (I trust Ralph but still need to make sure my stuff is protected). By the time I was done Lily was done so we chatted until Ross and Brett got here to take Lily to the 200 to catch the bus home.

Once Ross got back we chatted for a bit then drove to Guayabitos (I will never ride in the back again, Brett is very tall and needed leg room so he sat beside Ross, it took 5 minutes to comb out my hair (the ones that escaped my hair clip)) before I could go into Nelly’s. It is a beautiful drive and it really needs to be seen in a convertible! We got to Nelly’s and her dinner was amazing! Turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, veggies, buns, you know the drill! The only thing missing was sweet potatoes and wild rice! It’s so funny, Nelly told us that the band was not allowed to make any noise what so ever, until after dinner (no sound check even) or else the people that paid for the supper would leave. Now, we found out later that the guy that said this was the manager of the trailer court that drove everyone (from the trailer court (trailer trash)) to Nelly’s and no one, I repeat, no one agreed with him. They all said that they will be back (behind his back no less) next Thursday!

We drove home with Brett in the back seat and dropped him off at his hotel and got home around 2ish. Sunshine was caterwauling outside, so I brought him in, combed out all the outside stuff on him (twigs, weeds and god knows what else) and actually got him on the bed with Maggie on it!...and had treats. I closed the back door so at least I know that he was safe last night! It’s hard for me, with Tigger being attacked, I really, really need to know my kiddies (cats dogs whatever) are and can sleep more soundly when I know where they are.

Friday - We had to get up fairly early as we needed to be at John and Christie’s by 12:30 for our Nuevo home tour. We looked at several condos (some actually are really nice) we really liked a few, so if anyone is interested in purchasing anything please let us know. It’s 12 am right now so I’m really tired and Ross said I need to post my blog everyday! I might elaborate when I’m more awake!!! We actually saw a property at Paradise Golf Resort for approx 2 million that was to die for. 5 bedrooms, infinity pool right on the golf course, way too much to explain (again if you’re interested call us).

After the tour we drove to Brett’s hotel (very very nice, right on the beach looking down at a magnificent pool) and kidnapped him. We had go home real quick to see if Jake was there, when we left to meet up with Christie and the gang he wouldn’t come in when called. Then we drove to Paradise Village for the meeting then took Brett to Riveria. The place was packed, we are so happy for Jean-Franco, but we miss our chats with him in the rainy season when there was no one! After a delicious supper of Calamari, Tortilla soup, Mahi-Mahi, Tequila Shrimp and Arrachera we drove Brett home. We dropped by the store at the Flamingo’s (another hotel, actually it was the one Karen stayed at) and there was some wine 25% off, I thought what a great deal, until I took it to the cash register and found out it was 904 pesos. So I put that back and Ross got some Hostess little chocolate cakes and we went home.

Adios from Ross, Kim, Critters and Brett in Paradise!
