Sunday and Monday November 29th and 30th, 2009

Our Grey Cup party was fun; we had a lot of people show up. We took the couch and love seat that we had in the living room and put it outside on our patio (now we have another living room) and we put a TV on the table and they watched the game outside. Ross made his famous hot wings and I heated up some spring rolls I bought from Costco, both were delicious!

The weather has been kinda crummy yesterday and today, it’s actually raining here today, they tell me that it never rains in November/December!!! We got up early and was at Brett’s hotel at 11 this morning and he wasn’t there, we would have called but the business card that had the phone number is missing. We left our towels and suits outside his door and went downstairs to the lobby to see if we could find him, Ross went out to the beach and there he was, listening to Frank Sinatra on his iPod. He loves his iPod!

We went back upstairs and got our suits on and Ross and Brett went into the ocean to swim and I stayed on a lounge chair and read my book. When the boys were finished in the ocean we sat in the hot tub for a bit then had lunch by the pool. The first hot tub we went in was soooooo hot that we couldn’t stand it (Ross stayed in longer) so Brett and I got out and went into another that was just right! I sound like Goldilocks! Both Ross and I had the club sandwich and Brett was still full from breakfast so he had some buffalo shrimp. Everything was great, they had some little jars of ketchup, mayo, mustard and something else that were so cute that I took them home with me, I’m not quite sure what I’m going to use them for, but they are so cute!

After lunch we went back upstairs to change because Brett, Ross and I went for a massage! The lap of luxury or what! After walking into the main area we were shown to a change room where we had a locker for our clothes and shoes and we put on a dressing gown. We walked into another room and there was a hot tub and lounge chairs where you could either, well, go into the hot tub, or laze on one of the lounge chairs while drinking a champagne glass of green tea…………….ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Once 2 pm came along my masseuse (I think she said her name was Brittany) came to get me and helped me down some stairs where the rooms are. I was a little wary on how she would handle my ankle but she was very good. Every time she touched it she touched it in such a way that it didn’t hurt. I would tense when she got near it but there was no pain, bonus! I had 80 minutes of sublime bliss, I think I fell asleep at one point (I didn’t sleep much last night so I was scared I would do this) and I hate sleeping through a massage, what a waste of money! When she told me she was done, I knew it because I could hear her prepare for my departure, I almost cried. Once my robe was back on I opened the door and she greeted me with another champagne glass full of green tea and showed me to the shower room. I got my clothes out of the locker and had a hot shower, ok I have to repeat myself, I had a hot shower in Mexico. This is the first hot shower I have had here, cause, my hot water is still not working (I have the name of a plumber that Sue gave me today so I’ll have to call him) washed my hair with the shampoo and cream rinse they provided and combed my hair with a brush and a comb they provided and met Ross and Brett in the lobby. We all had the funny look on our faces, we just got a massage and I’m in seventh heaven!

We let Brett have a snooze and we got home (I posted my Saturday blog) and I’m now writing this one while Ross and Brett are at a meeting. We are going to Taco Itzel (sp) for supper (this is the restaurant we have to blind fold all our guests when we drive there so only the locals know where it is (we want to keep it small)) this is a family owned restaurant that you can feed 8 people on 10 bucks, the food is very Mexican and is great!

Nick dropped by just after Ross left to borrow some speaker cables, the brand new speakers Ross sold them aren’t working right and they think it might be the cables. We have lots of those. He just moved into Oscars studio this week (Oscar moved to Arizona) and as he was driving away, he said, we are neighbors now, don’t be strangers! We like Nick, actually his wife is a house keeper and I’m going to try her maybe next week and I’ll see if I like her, Lily is good but not “Kim good”. I hear Nick’s wife is “Kim good” (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name, I only met her once), for example after she cleaned Ross’s bathroom I went in there for something and when I went to turn off the light I noticed the switch plate was very dirty, so I cleaned it.

Well, it’s 6:09 pm now and I’m sitting in the dark typing, I haven’t turned a light on yet, and I’m just about asleep, so I’m gonna say bye for now, I hope everyone has a terrific day and week! Remember tomorrow is December 1st……..only 25 more shopping days until Christmas!

Adios from Mexico
