I forgot to tell you about Ross’s debut at Crazy Nelly’s in Guayabitos (thank god for spell check). Our directions were to go north on the 200 and you will get to some topes then on your right hand side there will be an Oxxo and about a half a block up again on your right hand side will be the bar. That is how they tell you where to find things, no addresses involved! We had to wait until our mechanic brought our car back (he charged us 1600 pesos to rebuild our alternator plus he came and picked up the car and dropped it back off again within 6 hours) so we could drive to the gig. We were supposed to be there a lot earlier to help move things and set up, but it just didn’t happen. We still got there in time for Ross to set up the drums and have a great hamburger. We happened to follow an ambulance all the way, which is good because he was going fast and if anyone drove in the other lane, they would hit the ambulance first instead of us! Not a great thing to think about, but the drivers down here are wild!

The band was great, a lot of 60’s and 70’s tunes and both the bass player Ralph and the guitar player Gen-o were great. Between the first and second set a couple of guys came up and played, Ross ended up playing with them so he didn’t get much of a break. One of the guys that played between sets was Dave, he looks about 55ish and he had a girl with him Joanne who looks about 40ish and she just looked kinda dowdy. They live in San Pancho just up the road. (To give you an idea Bucerias, Puenta Esmeralda, La Cruz, Sayulita, San Pancho, Lo de Marcos then Guayabitos (thank god for copy and paste). It’s about 45 minutes to 1 hour away to the north.

They ended up having 2 encores (uno mas, uno mas, uno mas (one more, one more, one more)) then as we were driving home we ended up following 2 buses going between 100 – 120 on the two lane highway where there are a lot of curves (which I think I have talked about before).

We didn’t sleep much last night, Big Dog kept having dreams and crying or yelping or whatever you want to call it, so Ross laid with him most of the night, we also gave him some more pain medication. We just had coffee this morning and did a lot of Bid Dog holding. After the vet left with Big Dog we called the kids to let them know everything was ok.

I’m on the patio, it’s 4:15 pm, and we are thinking of taking a short siesta before going out to dinner tonight. I want to thank all the people that wrote, called, emailed and send best wishes to Big Dog and us on facebook. He will be missed by many, which, can we expect more than that, in one lifetime?

A sad Kim and Ross in Paradise.
